Dolomite Solutions has now provided fibre route details to two UK fibre Altnets, each consisting of 8 separate routes dating back to the “dot com” boom and totalling around 5,000 km.

This provides the basis for bypassing the BT network for backhaul.

This is particularly important, as the rise in BT prices, and the effect of the BT exchange closure programme will substantially increase the costs of BT leased lines or dark fibre over the next few years.
